Fun In A Tree

While at the park celebrating my son's birthday the kids decided to take turns climbing up in a tree close by. I wish I had a reflector with me, but even without one I think they turned out ok:

Fun At The Bay

Over the weekend we took the kids to Mantua Bay to have some fun swimming. I took the camera with me of course and came away with two images that I really liked.

The first one is of my nephew who was playing in the sand when a butterfly came out of nowhere and almost landed on his finger:



The other one is of my niece. She was munching on a cookie watching everyone play before joining back in on the fun:

Similar picture, different perspective. A few months ago I posted a similar picture, and was asked if I had take a shot in the series with the focus on the end of the barrel, so I went into the archives and dug it up.

Don't worry it's an Airsoft gun, and he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it :D

So, I've been seeing a few pictures that really caught my eye. The post processing technique is really unique. I've been trying to replicate the look and here's what I have so far:

My Brother's Family

Over the weekend I was able to take some photographs of my brothers family. It was a lot of fun! It was also the first shoot I did using all manual settings.

Todd Morrison Alumni Tournament

This is a good example of why you should always have your camera with you. I went to the Todd Morrison Alumni Tournament. It's a basketball tournament that donates its proceeds to a local family that has a child with medical needs. This year they decided to honor my niece who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Although this isn't the most technically sound image I'm glad I got this shot.

1st Wedding

I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding of a friend of mine. I'm in the PP phase right now and although I don't have a lot of time to do it I'm starting to turn out some pictures. Thanks Jenn for being patient with me!
