So, as my PP skills are improving I thought I would go through some older images and see if I could apply these new skills. I try not to alter an image too much, but sometimes with digital cameras you don't get exactly what you though you were shooting. So, here is an example of an image that I skipped over a while back because the subject was too dark. In this iteration I was able to lighten it up just a bit. Let me know if you think it's too much:

I was on my way out to the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and I saw this guy sitting on the side of the road. By the time I got my camera out, backed the car up, and took this picture I was sure I would miss the opportunity to get this shot. Subsequently, it's a little out of focus. The vulture flew off right after this picture so there was no second chance.

Big Brown Bat (Eptesicus Fuscus)

I found this bat hanging onto the side of my house while I was doing yard work.

I don't think it liked me taking pictures of it, because it came after me. Oh and bats are about the only thing that give me the creeps.
