JJ Garden Center
This weekend we took our kids to JJ GardenCenter it was a lot of fun. We go there every year and I'm still amazed at the size of the place. I have no idea what the names of the flowers are, but here are some pics:

Shoot at the Fire Station
I'd like to thank the Brigham City Fire Department for allowing me to do a photoshoot at the Fire Station today. I had two groups totaling 22 people. They even let me use some of their lights. I'll post some pictures of the shoot as soon as I can, but for now I'm going to get some sleep.

Money Money Money

The setup wasn't that tricky. I picked up a bunch of black fabric and some black card stock for like $6. I used the fabric as the background and I made a flag out of the card stock for my dummy flash.

New Lens Test Shots
So, I took the new lens out for a test drive at one of my favorite spots, Willard Bay. I like to stop there because 1. it's convenient and 2. It changes a lot so you never know what you're going to get to shoot.

New Lens 35mm 1.8
Yesterday I picked up an AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens and I'm really excited to try it out over the weekend. The reason I got the lens is because of it's low light capabilities, and superior image qualities. I plan on using it for landscape, portraits, and for projects like the water drops, or Smoke photography. I'll post some sample pictures when I can, but for now here's a stock pic of what the lens looks like:

Smoke
It's been too long since I've taken any pictures so tonight I decided to try my luck at smoke photography. This was a simple setup: tripod, off camera flash, remote, incense, lighter. I had to play around with the amount of smoke that I was using to get the right balance.
